In the morning 7-00am depart from your hotel for a sightseeing tour of Aburi botanical gardens, a garden in Aburi in Eastern region of Ghana. It’s just three quarters of an hour drive from Accra, the capital of Ghana. Aburi gardens provides a serene atmosphere for picnic lovers.
On a visit to the garden, the first thing that graces you is the beautifully lined royal palm trees (roystonea regia) on both sides of the road.
For lovers of nature the following special species of ornamental plant collection are available in the Gardens: Araucaria spp., Bambusa nana, Brownea grandiceps, Calophyllum mophyllum, Cedrela spp., Delonix regia, Dillenia indica, Elaeocarpus searratus, Enterolobium cyclocarpum, Ficus leprieuri, Garcinia xanthochymus, Murraya exotica, Naulea latifolia.
Other features that should attract you are the Bush House, the Rock Garden, the Pergola or Lovers’ lane, the retired helicopter, the ficus tree and the horticulture school.
We continue our tour to Boti water falls, a twin waterfall located at Boti in Yilo Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. With the majestic rock formations and serene settings, Boti Falls is beautiful any season of the year. However, the falls are most impressive during the rainy season from June to August.
At the Aburi botanical gardens you can have a picnic with friends and family, have a paint and sip session with loved ones, you can take cool pictures in the abandoned aero place and other lovely places around.
Overall it’s a lovely place to go chill with loved ones.
If there is time there are two attractions that are also available for you to see but not directly related to the falls and they are the umbrella rock and the three –head- palm tree. The umbrella rock is just 30 minutes walk from the falls.
